Muzykanci

Legenda polskiej sceny folkowej. Prekursorzy brzmienia odwołującego się wprost do ludowego wzorca opartego na akustycznym instrumentarium. Ekspresja, autentyczność i energia.

The band draws inspiration from Polish, Lemko, Hungarian, Balkan, Gypsy, and Jewish music, and their repertoire includes traditional songs from all regions of Poland. The performers’ expressiveness, outstanding vocal harmonies, original arrangements, and extensive stage experience contribute to the band’s originality and enduring appeal.

The band was formed in 1997, immediately becoming a sensation on the Polish music scene, and to this day, every concert is a significant artistic event.

They have played hundreds of concerts in Poland and worldwide, performing at major ethno and world music festivals, including WOMAD UK, WOMAD Chile, WOMEX, Jeonju Sori International Festival (Korea), Ulsan World Music Festival (Korea), and festivals such as EtnoKraków/Rozstaje, Nowa Tradycja (Warsaw), Ethnoport (Poznań), Jarmark Jagielloński (Lublin), Brave Festival (Wrocław), Skrzyżowanie Kultur (Warsaw), and Budapest Folk Fest (Budapest).

They have received numerous prestigious awards, including the Grand Prix of the Polish Radio Nowa Tradycja competition, the Grand Prix of the EuroFolk Festival, and the title of Folk Phonogram of the Year for their debut album “Muzykanci” – one of the most important albums in the history of Polish folk music. Subsequent albums include: “A na onej górze…” – featuring folk ballads, the Christmas album “Gore Gwiazda,” and “Muzykanci i Hradistan” – a studio-and-live album recorded in the Czech Republic with participation of Jerzy Pavlica’s Moravian group. Muzykanci also have numerous recordings for Polish Radio, Polish Television, and other European broadcasters.
