Zachwyt nad wspólnotą kultury środkowo-europejskiej

Két jó Barát (Hungarian for “two buddies”) was an ephemeral duo created around the turn of the millennium by Jacek Hałas and Stefan Puchalski.

After the addition of the outstanding violinist Maciej Filipczuk, the group briefly performed under the name Három jó Barát.

During their musical journeys, they sought out the of Polish, Hungarian, and Jewish folk music. The rigid, unyielding lines on the map that defined state borders mattered less to them than the playful, unpretentious blending of threads from different traditions into a single story.

Independently, they released a limited series of cassettes and CDs in 2001 titled “Két jó Barát”. The recordings were made in the home analog studio “Eourres” of Olivier Milchberg (France).
