A graduate of a Fine Arts High School, musician and craftswoman. She plays traditional folk percussion instruments (baraban, frame drum, ütőgardon).
Her element is playing for dance — at dance workshops, social dances, and weddings. She is a member of outstanding ensembles performing traditional music from Poland and Central Europe: Kapela Hałasów, Muzykanci, Kwartet Wiejski, Eastwind, as well as the Family Orchestra and the Noiseband Theatre.
In addition to music and running a multigenerational home, she is passionate about various visual art techniques. She studies papercutting, papermaking and dyeing, calligraphy, painting, and creating compositions from dried plants. She also works with glass fusing and creates original functional objects and recycled artworks.
What I love most is the music of Bukovina, the mythical land of my mother’s and grandmother’s memories. Music passed down through genes, music of many nations and religions, woven together in memory into a single colorful stained-glass window.
It is my universal language of communication and encounter.
