They define their approach to music as a creative following of tradition. In their art, they draw on the traditions of many Eastern European ethnic groups: Ashkenazi Jews, Roma, Lemkos, Boykos, and many others who contributed to the richness of Polish tradition. They play on rare instruments such as the crank lyre, cimbalom, utögardon, shepherd flutes, and drumla, evoking the atmosphere and sound of old village bands.
The artists forming this outstanding quartet have for years been prominent on the cultural map of Poland and Europe, both as musicians and as creators involved in theatre, dance, and cultural animation. They are able to present their art in an engaging way while posing important questions to audiences about the condition of modern humans, who in the whirlwind of history and the rush of civilization lose their roots and connection with the traditions of their ancestors.
